Habitat: Gingko grows wild in China. It was later introduced to Japan. Gingko leaves are harvested in autumn.

Therapeutic effects

Organ involved: Nervous system

Effects: Anti-oxidant, regulates brain vascularisation and oxidation, bitter, astringent, anti-fungal, antibacterial, platelet aggregation.

Active ingredients Flavonoids, terpenes, diterpenes.

Indications : 

Internal use:  Impaired concentration, dizziness, anxiety.

Side effects: Allergies -> do not take if allergic to any of its components.

Stomach ache, constipation, headaches, dizziness, palpitations.

Contra-indications: Pregnant women, breast-feeding, haemophiliacs, not taken 48 hours before surgery.

Drug interactions: Ask your pharmacist about interactions.
